David Wright BSc MBIAC MBPR
David Wright, is the Managing Partner of SRM and JHWalter. He was the key driving force behind establishing SRM in conjunction with JHWalter, recognising the need for practical solutions to achieve sustainable development. By successfully combining JHWalter’s professional business, planning and countryside management expertise with sustainable innovation, the SRM team was born.
David’s specialisms include Renewable and Low Carbon Building Design; Rural Development and Grant Funding; Planning Applications and Development; Strategic Business Advice; Feasibility Studies and Viability Assessments.
He is a member of the British Institute of Agricultural Consultants; a member of the Institute of Agricultural Management and has a Degree in Agricultural Economics.

Nigel Lowthrop BSc (Hons) MIBiol CBiol FRSA
Nigel Lowthrop is Founder and Director of Hill Holt Wood and Principle Consultant of SRM. He is a trained biologist with 35 years countryside management experience including nature reserves, research and an agricultural fencing business.
He developed a concept, economic conservation, being a balance of social, environmental drivers leading to sustainable countryside. In 2002 Hill Holt Wood became a social enterprise and has won a number of national and local awards.
Nigel’s time is also committed to national issues and he is increasingly called upon by Government to advise on sustainability and social enterprise. He joined JHWalter in 2007 to be Consultant to the Sustainable Resource Management Team.

Steve Catney BA (Hons)
Steve Catney is the Environmental Planning Consultant of SRM. He is a specialist in adding value in situations where obtaining planning may not be straightforward and where a sustainable approach incorporating environmental and social benefits will assist in achieving consent.
Drawing upon his specialisms which include planning advice and applications; commercial Sales and lettings; rural business asset value maximisation; specialist advice on Conservation, Landscape Management Heritage and Environmental matters, including alternative energy and low carbon building design.
He is a member of the Lincolnshire Panel of the WREN landfill Tax Advisory Committee, a Director of Hill Holt Wood and has an Honours Degree in Archaeology.

Ian Walter BSc (Hons) CEnv FRICS FAAV
Ian Walter, is the Senior Partner of JHWalter. As a chartered Environmentalist and a chartered Surveyor Ian Walter applies his knowledge and interest in sustainable management and construction to the land that he manages as a land agent in rural practice. Ian is chairman of the group delivering the EPIC building on the Lincolnshire showground, the largest green conference centre in the UK, which will be completed in 2008.
He is member of the Lord Chancellor’s panel of Agricultural Arbitrators, a fellow of the Central Association and of the Agricultural Valuers, a fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, a member of the Society for the Environment and has a Degree in Rural Estate Management.

Isobel Wright BCc (Hons)
Isobel Wright has been an organic farming consultant for over eight years, working previously for ADAS in Lincolnshire and in East Anglia. Isobel was one of the original founder member’s of Hill Holt Wood, understanding the vision of sustainable development and social enterprise back in the early 1990’s.As well as developing a keen interest in climate change and global warming, she has advised clients on a variety of renewable technologies including district heating systems, and has worked on a number of SRM projects over the past year.
In addition to her consultancy, she currently lectures at the University of Lincoln on Agricultural and Environmental Science.
